the strongly growing market for sex toys, responds to an increasing
demand for innovation, however the collective aspect of sex is still
very much undiscovered and tabooed. many feel safe and comfortable
to talk about masturbation or sex (as a couple) but not about sex as
collective. this design speculation is meant to bring attention to this
issue, open up the discussion and broaden up people’s imagination
about sex. a speculatory 8-person dildo welcomes people to experience
collective sex in an inclusive and open way. it invites all participants to
not just observe, but become one with others. soon to be made into
a functioning collective sex toy (made from silicone infused with
bioplastic). each piece works with lego-like connectors and first
prototypes (p001-p006) have been turned into candleholders.project has
been showcased on trechter exbihition in eindhoven.
