NEW ATLANTIS (EINDHOVEN, JAN 2025 | STUDIO SILVA SYSTEMS, DAE)
a speculative maquette of a flooded coastal city due to rising sea
levels. new atlantis is an exercise of applying quirky attitude to a
distopic reality, in contrast to either context of idealised future or
doomism, where nothing matters anymore. this hopeful attitude,
involved imagining a world where a climate disaster is not the end
of all, but rather a new beginning and wake-up call for change. the
maquette consists of a metal skeleton, 3d printed buildings, moss
environment and 3d mapped projections on building facades.
