STORE.MOV (EINDHOVEN, WARSAW, GDANSK, JAN 2025 | STUDIO SILVA SYSTEMS, DAE)
a local-non-local concept store abolishing conventional commercial
institutions. a platform that allows to buy and borrow coats with
multiple internal pockets meant to store goods without being dependent
on additional luggage. this movable bazaar is targeted towards small
business owners and starting-up artists to showcase their work to
people outside of their local environment. whenever the owner travels,
so does the ‘store’. STORE.MOV stands against consumeristic lifestyle
and massively produced goods and supports local makers growing
connections to foreign localities.
every coat has been stitched by hand in order to honour and bring
respect to manually produced goods. first coat has been made from
repurposed exhibition fabric, underwear, socks and material scraps. this
symbolises that every piece of fabric, owns value, regardless of if it
usability and original purpose. project consisted of collaborations with
aisha dagdelen and paloma figueroa. exhibited on ‘nature becomes us’
exhibition in punt c in sectie-c, eindhoven in jan 2025.
