WEARABLES
(JONGNO DISTRICT SEOUL, AUG 2025)
a series of hand-sculpted rings, earrings, and pendants aimed at
promoting the craft of jewellery making and shape researech from
the ring’s simplicity. the rough, ‘unfinished’ look symbolises the
journey of a single piece, from material extraction, ore treatment,
purification, to casting and finishing. in a typical scenario, the wearer
does not physically contribute to the process. what wearables aims
to do is involve the wearer in the finishing stage. over time, silver
becomes naturally polished by external factors, gradually revealing its
shine and clarity. the work invites wearers to educate themselves about
the material's origin: where it comes from, who processed it, and who
the artist is behind its final form.
